WhereTo ("we," "our," or "us") operates the WhereTo mobile application. This page explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information we collect

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and profile photo if you choose to upload one. When you use the app we collect information about the venues you save, the itineraries you create, and your general location neighborhood if you choose to share it. We do not collect your precise GPS location without your permission.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide the WhereTo service, improve the app, and send you updates about your account and the app. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Ever.

Third party services

WhereTo uses Supabase for secure data storage and authentication. We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate. We integrate with Uber, Lyft, and Curb for ride booking — these apps have their own privacy policies.

Data security

Your data is stored securely using industry standard encryption. We use Supabase's built in security features including row level security to ensure users can only access their own data.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. You can update your profile information at any time within the app.

Children's privacy

WhereTo is intended for users 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 17.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes via email or in-app notification.
